ชอบ Intro ของเพลง FYI ของ Utada Hikaru มาก เลยลองหาประวัติดู พอฟังเพลงต้นฉบับแล้วถึงกับอึ้ง!!

"Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence เป็นชื่อของภาพยนตร์ญี่ปุ่นที่ฉายในปี ค.ศ. 1983 มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับความรัก "ต้องห้าม" ที่เกิดขึ้นในค่ายกักกันเชลย ในสมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง

เพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ประพันธ์โดย Ryuichi Sakamoto ซึ่ง Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence ของเดิมนั้นจะเป็นเพลงบรรเลง โดยมีเปียโนเป็นเครื่องดนตรีหลัก

นอกจากนี้ยังมีอีก version ซึ่งจะมีเนื้อร้องด้วย ขับร้องโดย David Sylvian เพลงนั้นมีชื่อว่า Forbidden Colours ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าเคยนำมาแนะนำให้สหายได้ฟังกันแล้ว

ส่วน Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence ใน version นี้ เรียบเรียงใหม่โดย Kotaro Oshio ในอัลบั้ม Starting Point ปี ค.ศ. 2002

ด้วยการบรรเลงเปียโนของ Ryuichi Sakamoto นั้น ทำนองดนตรีของเพลงนี้จัดได้ว่ามีความไพเราะอย่างหาที่เปรียบมิได้อยู่แล้ว ทว่า.. การนำมาเรียบเรียงใหม่โดย Kotaro Oshio ในครั้งนี้ ก็นับว่ามีความน่าสนใจอยู่มากทีเดียว

อันที่จริงแล้ว การฟังเสียงกีตาร์ที่บรรเลงอย่างเดียวนั้น อาจจะไม่ประทับใจเท่ากับการได้เห็นลีลาการใช้มือแล...
